The multimodal transport hub (MTH) adjoining the new metro station Salarievo will be one of the key elements of the New Moscow infrastructure. The hub will concentrate a few public transport types and will have a park and ride facility, which will help to reduce the load on the city’s entrance highways drastically.
For passenger convenience, MTH includes a multipurpose centre with developed shopping and leisure functions.

Proximity to and transport links with Vnukovo Airport predetermined the stylistics and graphic solution of the building complex architecture. It clearly reveals aviation and space motifs. The flowing roof lines, dramatic bend of skylights, the use of metal and anodised panels, including those with the chameleon effect, and a great amount of glass make the complex look futuristic.
Comfort and effectiveness of such complexes depend on the efficiency of planning solutions and layout of communications among various functional modules. The Salaris complex combines a metro station, a bus station and a car park. The project provides for them to be connected by open and closed passages that passengers will intuitively understand and find very convenient.
The parking traffic is organised using the navigation system, landscape and artificial relief elements. Owing to the use of vegetation and public art items, the Salaris area will represent something between an ordinary parking, a park and an openair museum of modern art. The areas in front of the main entrances to the shopping and leisure centre and the bus station will be converted into recreational areas.
