The new project of APEX project bureau - residential complex NOW - will appear in a unique location on the banks of the Novinki backwater in the bend of the Moscow River with no previous development on the site: this is a completely new homogeneous area, the history of which will be created by its future residents. The architectural concept, that has been created by the APEX team on the basis of the primary concept by bureau ATRIUM, embodies a combination of both ideological and technological refinement of modern architecture. Laconic, composed facades accord status and give a European look to the project, while calibrated proportions will make the complex one of the best examples of contemporary residential quarters in Moscow.

Located in the Nagatinskaya floodplain near metro station "Technopark" of the Zamoskvoretskaya line, the complex will allow future residents to combine both a dynamic and tranquil lifestyles: the district is created from scratch taking into account various life scenarios. Within walking distance of the residential complex one can find several advanced infrastructure clusters : the Isle of Dreams entertainment center, the Nagatino i-Land business cluster, the Park of Legends sports cluster, the cultural cluster in ZILART, and the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve.
The primary concept was based on the idea that each building should stylistically compete with others. Thus, the buildings that are most different in terms of external facade characteristics would make it possible to cover tastes of all the future customers. Our goal was, based on the approved massing, to generalize the heterogeneous environment into 3 independent quarters, which are harmoniously combined into one housing estate. At the same time, each quarter (urban block) has its own architectural appearance, providing self-identification for residents of each building.
Each urban block includes 4 residential buildings of completely different typologies: towers, sectional houses, townhouses. This solution allowed us to vary the high-rise dynamics of the building. The location of the site between a prospective designed passage and the flood of the Moscow River dictates a decrease in the number of storeys towards the embankment in order to reach the maximum number of apartments with perfect views.
The landscaping of the complex is based on the concept of orderly zoning and distinction of routes of residents and visitors, balance of private zones and public spaces. The peculiarity of the courtyards and walking areas of the complex is a multilevel relief with elements of landscape design that create a specifically versatile environment for various life scenarios - recreation or active pastime of residents of all ages.
The embankment of the residential complex is also divided into public and private parts, running along the back of the Moscow River. Yards, elevated above the carriageway by stylobate, are also divided into quiet and active areas with equipped playgrounds and sports grounds. Landscaping, taking into account the changing seasons, occupies more than 10,000 square meters. m. The stylobate part of the complex will house household infrastructure: shops, cafes, restaurants, dry cleaners, beauty salons, etc. A kindergarten for 90 children will be located nearby, and a school for 550 students will open in the northern part of the complex.
