Izmailovsky Residential Complex represents a new standard of modern, efficient and comfortable housing, wherein a spectacular architectural solution and original facade design harmonise with a well-thought-out planning structure and traffic scheme, diverse landscape design and yard improvement meeting the current trends, and a developed public function on lower floors.
Residential complex "Izmailovsky"
2016 - 2017
103 000 m²
The complex’s massing was developed with regard to the solar exposure requirements for the adjacent dwelling houses. A thorough study gave rise to a development partially resembling a block development and made up by several multisectional buildings differing in the number of storeys (from 5 to 14) and 16-storey high-rise landmarks along the western and northern development fronts.
There are three spacious courtyards inside the complex. A unique landscaping design was developed for each of them, which, by stylistics and the range of applied expressive means, conforms to three types conditionally designated as: “Japan”, “Scandinavia” and “Holland”. The courtyards will differ in landscaping design and plant selection. Each one will be provided with light pergolas for comfortable and calm outdoor recreation as well as with sports and play areas.
The complex’s facades are treated in a common design code with individual variations and finished with composite panels and bricks. Use will be made of different colour accents for all three groups of buildings.
In addition to them, the facades oriented to the cardinal directions are designed differently. The most laconic and planar one is the western facade whereas others are complemented with dimensional elements — small triangular balconies and air conditioner cases.
